The Law of Attraction doesn’t hear the words ‘don’t, not or no’ – it only responds to your feelings (your vibes) about that subject.

Have you ever wondered why sometimes we get something that we really didn’t want in our lives? People often tell me, “I didn’t ask for THAT!”

In fact, some people think that the Law of Attraction ‘isn’t working for me’ when they attract something they didn’t want into their life–but it is. You see, the Law of Attraction doesn’t hear the words ‘don’t, not or no’ (as in,

‘I don’t want that.’ ‘That’s not what I want.’ ‘No more of this!’) it only responds to your feelings (your vibes) about that subject. If thinking about a certain situation causes you to feel upset, the Law of Attraction sends you MORE upsetting situations.

Here’s a story sent to me by a reader, that demonstrates what I mean:

I went to a charity event last night (for which I paid $50) and then I donated another $20 for raffle tickets for various prizes. The idea was to put your ticket into the bowl that represented the prize you wanted. Well, none of the prizes were exciting to me. I put my ticket into the bowl that seemed the best of the three. And as I did so, I said to myself, ‘I’ really hope I don’t win this silly haircut.’ Then I realized there were more than three prizes and I felt disappointed that I had put my ticket into that bowl, but it was too late to take it back. So, as they were calling the prize winners I again said ‘I’ don’t want that haircut.’ When they read out my number I was so disbelieving that I had to ask them to repeat the number because I could not believe that I had won it – especially because I had said so clearly, ‘I don’t want it!’ – well you know the ending of this story. I focused on it, said “don’t” and focused on it again. DUH!! Now the fact is, it is a nice prize and I will use it – what was I thinking?
Sometimes I use the illustration of the Internet Search Engines–if you go to www.goolge.ca and type in the words ‘no porn’–what will you get? That’s right–PORN. The Search Engines don’t understand Don’t give me–they just understand porn.

So, if I don’t want something, how do I avoid attracting it into my life?

By answering this simple question: ‘If I don’t want this . . . what do I want?’

Sometimes it takes a while to formulate a positive answer to that question, but taking the time to do so is the ONLY way to stop attracting what you don’t want.

If I don’t want clients who are late for our sessions, what do I want? I want clients who are on time or early.

If I don’t want to chase after clients to be paid for my services, what do I want? I want clients who joyfully pay by credit card or E-check for my services–on time or early.

If I fail to get clear about what I DO want, according to the Law of Attraction, I will attract that which I don’t want into my life again and again–for until I place my focus on something else, what I don’t want IS (by default) my focus.

Can you think of something that has been occurring in your life, over and over again? If so, take a few minutes–just 5 or 10 minutes and do this exercise:

1. Write down on paper what this reoccurring event is. State what happens and how it makes you feel.

2. Then ask the question: If I don’t want that to happen again, what DO I want to happen? or If I don’t want to feel like that again, what DO I want to feel like?

Get a picture in your mind, an idea or a feeling for how you would like it to be. Find the words that most accurately express what you want and write them down on paper. Doing this will engage all your senses to such a degree that you will automatically begin to attract events and situations that are more enjoyable.

Many people that think operating a business from home is glamorous, exciting, and filled with freedoms that you can never experience if you work for someone else. Without the obligations that come from reporting to an employer everyday and they then think the money is easily acquired. An important part of working from home is letting others know you have a business and this is done through networking. Network marketing is not always easy for everyone. There are individuals who are very natural at talking with others and find it quite easy to be in a room full of strangers and talk about what they have to offer. Then there are those terrified of the idea of network marketing and would prefer to stay home and pay someone else to do this portion of the business for them. Network marketing does not have to be a horrible experience for you and you do not have to have a panic attack at the thought of attending one. In the excitement, you may forget their names. It is a good idea to jot down some relevant information on the back of the card to help you remember why or why not you like that particular contact.

In order for your home business to be successful, you have to make your presence known. You can do this through advertising and word-of-mouth. However, staying inside your protective home and never letting anyone know whom you are will not generate many clients or bring an increase in your profits. Go out, have coffee, and talk to others about your services. Walk into businesses that you think will profit from your services and let them know what you have to offer. If you have children in school, you can offer your services to the PTA or other groups that your child may be involved. Do not discount your sphere of influences because it is from this circle that your business will grow.

The Law of Attraction is an extremely powerful force which effects our lives, whether or not we are aware of how it is working.

Have you ever had the experience of a stranger coming out of the blue and having a piece of information that you needed? Have you ever been steered away from making a mistake by a friend or stranger in the right place at the right time? Can you recall what this felt like?

Have you ever sensed your role in another person’s manifestation of an experience? You perhaps gave them something, or did something that felt right for you and for them was an uncanny coincidence. Have you ever found yourself in the right place to provide something important for another person? Perhaps you felt compelled to talk to a stranger and you had the piece of information they were looking for?

I call this interplay between individuals ‘Dancing.’ We dance with others during every day of our lives. When we are open and willing, we participate and assist in the manifestation of their experience and others do the same for us. Some of these experiences are positive, and we feel like we are in the very flow of life. Other experiences are more challenging, or even negative, and can leave us questioning how we came to attract such a negative or painful experience into our lives.

Law of Attraction and Relationships:

As a therapist, coach and individual, I have come to understand the Law of Attraction as an extremely powerful force which effects our lives, whether or not we are aware of how it is working at any one time. Simply put, what we give our focus, emotion, and attention, we attract into our lives. Moving towards deliberate attraction requires an awareness of our intention, attention and emotional state. In a sense, we move from subconsciously creating events in our lives to consciously and deliberately affecting our experience.

When talking about the law of attraction in relationships, several questions come up. These include: Can we attract a specific person into our lives? Am I responsible – did I attract – this abuse from my colleague, partner, friend, or family member? How can I attract the relationship I want?

One of the issues these questions have in common is a search for where our responsibility ends and another person’s begins.

Matching (Picking our Partners)

Everyone that you attract into our lives and engage with, are a match to something that you are vibrating at either a conscious or subconscious level.

If we want to know what you are vibrating, look at who you are attracting. It is a perfect match!

There are different kinds of matches to our vibrations. The most obvious is when we get a similar match.

Ideally, we want to feel empowered, optimistic and joyful and attract other empowered and optimistic people to us in all aspects of our life. When this happens, there is a sharing and connection that feels wonderful. It is a perfect match!

When feeling down, (low vibration), you may attract a friend who calls to complain about all the things they are down about. In this case, our low vibration is attracting someone of similar vibration. We will often engage with the person and stay at that low vibration or perhaps collectively go lower. How does this feel?

Other Matches

Have you ever had a friend or client stuck in a ‘victim vibration’ who seemed to attract abusive partners in their romantic or business relationships? Their vibration as a victim can be a match to a potential abuser. A second match to the ‘victim vibration’ is the rescuer. Rescuers, victims and abusers create what we know as the ‘victim’ or ‘drama’ triangle. These three roles vibrate matches to each other and individuals often get stuck moving from point to point in the triangle. In one relationship they may be the victim. IN the next, they mat be the rescuer or the abuser.

For example, many of the youth I have worked with in custody fall into this trap. They are often violent to ‘rescue’ a friend or to avenge a wrong. When caught, they feel victimized by police. When sentenced to custody, they feel like a victim of the justice system. They talk about getting even (offender role), blaming others for their situation (victim role) and wanting to stay with their boy or girl friend to keep them from getting into trouble (rescuer role). They continue to attract the same three matches into their lives and custody becomes a revolving door.

There are other less obvious variations of this triangle. Chronically sick individuals, very desperate or needy people, often vibrate matches for people who try to help them or use them in some way.

DRAMA TRIANGLE

Vulnerability

Most children and many adults live their lives unconscious of the law of attraction and the many other forces at work in creating their experience. Such people are unaware of the effect of their attention, focus and emotions. Their energy may be scattered rather than focussed and their emotions may be mixed and reactive. Such people are ‘vulnerable’ and can become unconscious participants in the more focussed and deliberate manifestation of others.

We know that most offenders pick their victims. This is a fact. They unconsciously or consciously match vulnerable children, adults, (banks etc.) at an intuitive level. Younger children, the elderly, or adults with disabilities are often chosen for this reason. Children, and some adults are then vulnerable to become part of a more deliberate plan and action by someone with greater intention, emotion and focus.

In addition, there are individuals who use these same laws of attraction to manifest power for themselves, or harm to others. They believe they are right, entitled, or are unconsciously driven to such experiences. In some cases their focus is collective and extremely powerful. Terrorists and other fear-based organizations are examples of this dynamic.

Free Choice

I once had a very amazing conversation with a Native teacher about the three concepts of destiny, potential, and free choice. To the best of my recollection, this is how he defined these concepts.

Destiny: Is an opportunity to fulfill a life’s purpose. It is a predetermined circumstance that will manifest at some point in life. Some Native groups believe that we are born with predestined challenges that were agreed upon by our ancestors before our birth. Other Native groups believe that there are ‘deals’ made with other souls before birth to be part of their enlightenment challenge here on earth.

Potential: When we are challenged, the experience has the potential to be a powerful healing or destructive force. If we rise to the challenge and act out of integrity and grace, we heal both present and past issues related to the event. If we fail the challenge, we hurt ourselves and others involved.

Free Choice: We all have free choice. This is why we cannot attract a person to us who does not want to engage with us. We choose whom we engage with and we choose our actions.

We attract matches into our lives. It is our choice to engage with them or not. We are responsible for our actions. They are responsible for what they choose to do.

As we become more aware, we can also consider matches and experiences as powerful information and feedback as to what we are vibrating. We can also choose to engage or not engage, stay or leave. We can also choose to use this information to move ourselves to a different level of vibration.

Implications for Law Of Attraction Practitioners

Working with Others

Many of my coaching and counseling clients have been engaged in some form of the drama triangle (above). I have found the Law of Attraction tools to be very helpful in teaching an awareness of their emotions and how they are affecting their experience. They can learn that when they are in a ‘poor me,’ or ‘victim’ vibration, they are going to attract matches and choose to engage or not. They also learn the importance of changing their vibration and witnessing a change in the people they attract. By choosing a different vibration, they become empowered and even begin to heal!

Implications for Practitioners and Coaches

For law of attraction practitioners and coaches, we put out the intention of assisting others and attract such experiences to ourselves in the form of clients. We offer ourselves as ‘helpers’ for individuals who are choosing to manifest events in their lives. This experience is often very intuitive and joyful. We feel like we are in the flow of life.

You are most likely coming here as a follow up to my Part 2 of 5 article on creating an online business. I hope you found part (1) one and part (2) informative.

Today I’m going to talk about selecting a web site host. What is a web site host? Well that is where your finished web pages will reside so that when someone types in www.yourwebsite.xxx they will actually see your web page displayed on their screen. They will be actually pulling the web page up from your hosts, which is a company that will store a copy of your web page on their site. When you acquire the name for your website it will more than likely be through them.

Let’s talk a minute about your web site name. I recommend that is be something that makes coincides with the type of product or service your visitor is looking for. It reaffirms them that they are at the right site for what they need. I hope that makes sense. Feel free to take a look at mine as an example of what I’m talking about.

Now back to the hosts. What do you want in a host? Well here a few things I look for:

* Good track record with current users in regards to uptime.
* Good Track record for customer support.
* Reasonable pricing for the amount of bandwidth you get, (min 500GB)
* 24 hour support
* Step-by-step guidance if required
* The ability to put a blog on your site is a plus
* FREE domain name included with them doing all the setup work
* Ability to have multiple email addresses
* FREE advertising credits are another plus.

I think if you find the above items in a host you are off to a good start. The cost per year is currently under a $100.00 a year. My host is currently running year-end special for only $4.95 a month. There are good deals to be found. A great deal for new subscribers. The most important thing is that they practically no down time. You need you page to load fast when a customer wants to visit.

This is an important step to your success, because if people can’t get to your site and get there quickly you are not going to make any money. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, but you do not want to go with the most inexpensive host you can find. If you site comes up quickly, presents itself well and you take your potential customer to exactly what they are looking for you will have a much higher chance for success. We will talk more about the importance of having the right keyword, landing page and affiliate programs on your site. It took me awhile to understand how much of a impact these seemingly small things can have on your conversion rate.

I knew things in our industry had changed, but I didn’t realize just HOW MUCH they had changed until recently. Now we all know nothing stays the same, and progress is always welcome in Network Marketing, but I don’t think many of us are truly aware of the vast differences we’ve seen technology bring in just the past few years.

Ten years ago–even five years ago–a successful couple or individual working in Networking limited themselves to a single program. Why? Because working direct sales or MLM took a TON of work.

Mike and Rita were about the best Networking team around a few years ago. They held weekly meetings at the public library and held even more meetings at their home. If you made any contact whatsoever with Mike and Rita, they would keep your phone and fax warm for days until you finally signed up on their program.

Not only that, but a BIG part of Mike and Rita’s success was due to their non-stop mailing of sales letters and postcards. Rita spent many a night posting their prospecting ads on Internet sites and newsgroups.

More than once they got kicked off of AOL and other ISP’s for being too aggressive when contacting prospects — a new no-no in the online age.

I supposed all the work Mike and Rita did was worth it, but at what cost? They worked night and day for years. And even then, I don’t think they were pulling in more than a few thousand dollars a month.

Now let’s fast forward to today. Mark and Sandra are the talk of the neighborhood. They live in a big expensive house and drive a luxury car. Most people can’t figure out how Mark and Sandra afford it. They’re seen at home all day and go on lengthy vacations five or six times a year.

That part makes me smile, because I KNOW what Mark and Sandra do. They’re working in direct sales and MLM from home. Only there is a key difference in what they’re doing from what Mike and Rita were doing a few years ago.

Mark and Sandra use completely automated online systems to find huge numbers of leads, then filter through the leads to find only the best. Only then do Mark and Sandra start talking to their leads.

You see, Mark and Sandra don’t spend their days prospecting. They let the technology do all that prospecting and cold calling for them. The only time Mark and Sandra talk on the phone or answer an email is when a very hot prospect calls them to place an order.

And here’s the good part: Because the technology takes so much of the work out of direct sales, Mark and Sandra are able to work several very successful networking businesses. Rather than earning a few thousand dollars a month, they’re bringing in TENS OF THOUSANDS.

Plus, with all that automation (and help from their upline organization) Mark and Sandra are able to take off and travel the world just about anytime they like.

1. Change the Way You Think About Money

The only way you can become a powerful magnet to manifest money is to begin to examine how you feel and think about money. You can start by thinking of how you feel when you have to pay your bills. Most often people get very tense and sad and frustrated about giving money away. The moment you move in that feeling of lack you know that you are not in alignment with attracting more money.

2. Be Open to The Many Possibilities in Which Money can Flow.

Manifesting money is all about mental freedom; Freedom in your thinking, freedom in your ability to see the wealth all around you. When you focus on your life in a limited way you limit the flow of money coming into your life. Be open and expanded.

When you give love openly you also get love back. Money flows in this same way. Give a little with love and get more back.

Having an Internet marketing business is great, but did you know that doing it with residual income is even better? The best way to be able to get the most returns for your time invested is through getting for yourself residual income that just keeps on coming. Here are some reasons why residual income, with multiple streams of income will work best for you.

Because You Are Not Focused On Individual Sales

Unless you are selling something that is in great demand, and selling for a lot of money, getting individual sales is good, but not the best. Now a lot of people can do quite well through individual sales – but they have to keep on making the sales – or their income stops! If you have one line of income, then you could be instantly out of business. You could also look at it this way. If you are laid off from a regular job, then your sole source of income is gone.

Suppose, however, that you could get a sale that would bring in monthly, for years to come, a small but continual income. That is what is meant by a residual income. After you get so many people signed up, you could literally put your Internet marketing business into neutral and go on an extended vacation. After your first home business gets established, then you are free to build a second work at home income stream. The first business becomes largely self-perpetuating, only needing a little attention each week for answering customer questions for example. This frees you to develop a second line, and then a third, if you desire to keep going. This makes the most sense and it is just like diversifying your stock portfolio. The more diversified it is, the less risk you have of losing all you have invested.

Those that have become really successful use these means to do so. That way, they do not have to devote a constant 110% in order to keep getting those new sales. By now you should be able to see the advantages of setting up multiple streams of income, with each providing a residual income, too. Ask yourself, which would you rather have, a customer who buys one item for a thousand dollars, one time, or a customer who pays you a fifty dollars a month for years to come?
